Farewell to Msgr. M. Biffi and welcome to the new Deputy Chief of Mission

Last July 1, the news came of the turnover of the Secretary of the Pontifical Representation.

After two years of collaboration and a cordial closeness to the local Church on the part of Msgr. Mario Biffi, Secretary at the Apostolic Nunciature in Kuwait, Bahrain and Qatar, the Holy See transferred him on July 1 to collaborate in the Secretariat of State.

Grateful for his service in this Nunciature, various representatives of the Catholic, Orthodox and Evangelical Churches had the opportunity to bid him farewell.

The Reverend Fr. Fernando Grande Frías is now the new Deputy Chief of Mission: he was welcomed in Kuwait by H.G. Archbishop Nugent, the Apostolic Nuncio, and all the staff and friends of the Nunciature.

We wish him God's blessing on his ministry and his first experience in the Nunciature.
