Addressing the crowds in Saint Peter's Square following the Sunday Angelus, Pope Francis addressed the very serious situation in Israel and Palestine, underscoring his closeness to all those suffering, Palestinians and Israelis. He said he remembers and prays for them every day, and he offers them his "embrace" at "this dark moment."

Kingdom of Bahrain – Our Lady of Arabia

At the Angelus on Sunday, 5th November, the Holy Father made the following appeal for peace:

One year after Pope Francis´ visit to The Kingdom of Bahrain, His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa visited the Holy Father at the Apostolic Palace in the Vatican on the afternoon of October 16, 2023; thus showing a further sign of closeness and brotherhood.

"You will have strength from the Holy Spirit who will come upon you... you will be my witnesses... to the ends of the earth" (Acts 1,8)
